Custom Designed Map
I am happy to make a customised map design of your choosing.
For instance, a favourite walking route or area with special landmarks added.
Please e-mail me an outline of your idea including any personalised message or title.
I will then contact you with a sketch of the proposed design. Once we have agreed the design you can return to this site to make a payment.
I will need three weeks to complete the slate and get it delivered once payment has been recieved.
There are two options for supporting the slate, either a slotted wooden block or a hinged leg. Either way, the slate is self-supported and would sit well on a shelf, desk or window sill.
The personal message or title can be added to the map itself or to the rear face of the slate or to the front face of the wooden block. There is a 100 character limit for the slate and a 30 chracter limit for the wooden block.
Some important info....
Each slate is 15x15cm in size
For posting, the slate will be well packaged into a 'large letter' sized box.
Avoid positioning the map in direct sunlight and they aren't suitable to be left outside.
Shipping and returns
Shipping - p&p for the UK is ALWAYS included in the price. I hate it when you go to a website and then they add loads on for postage at the end!
Shipping outside the UK - I have done this on occasion, but to be honest, the cost and paperwork needed now makes this unrealistic in most cases. I'm happy to talk it through with you though.
Overdue shipping - unfortunately this happens occasionally. Please bear a few things in mind - this is not life or death and I am human! 😉 Order even earlier than you normally would at busy times (eg Christmas, lockdowns), and always keep the lines of communication open.
Returns
- I want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If you simply don't like it or it's not quite as you imagined, please return it in new condition within 14 days of buying. I would ask that you pay for the return.
- If the item is damaged in transit, please send me photos of how it arrives and we can assess whether it can me mended or a replacement needs to be sent out. This has not happened yet - so fingers crossed it never does!
The key is communication. Please let me know what is going on and then we can sort it out together.
